The 15 year old boy of Malolo Island charged with the rape of a 12 year old student has been further remanded in custody.
The Assistant Police PRO Corporal Josaia Weicavu said the boy pleaded guilty to the charge and has been remanded in the custody of the Social Welfare Department.
Weicavu said the boy invited the student to read magazines at his place when he allegedly raped her.
His parents were not on the Island at the time of the incident and both the boy and the student are neighbors.
