A 14 year old boy is in custody for allegedly raping a 5 year old girl early this week.
Regional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Aca White has confirmed that the juvenile has been charged with one count of rape and will appear in the Nausori Magistrates court later today.
The victim reported the matter to her parents who then took it to the police on Tuesday.
Police have once again called on parents to closely monitor their children during the school holidays.
