All 14 Provincial Councils from around the country have handed in their opinions on the draft village by-laws.
Deputy Permanent Secretary for the I Taukei Affairs, Colonel Apakuki Kurusiga said the by-laws in any village is meant to be within the boundaries of the villages so it must be followed.
Colonel Kurusiga said their next step is to request Government departments and non-government departments to join the I Taukei Affairs and to discuss further on what has been gathered.
Kurusiga said some opinions that are not in their draft by-laws includes no smoking in the village during a function, time to stop drinking kava at 11pm, rowdy actions by perpetrators must be eliminated and to respect the elders and the women in the village.
