13th Pac Games end with Fiji at 4th place
Fiji only managed to win 3 more gold medals this afternoon in the mens 4 by 100 metre relay and 4 by 400 metres relay while the 3rd gold medal came from the high jump through Rajendra Prasad.
The mens 4 by 100 metre relay team consists of Niko Verekauta, Jone Mudu, Iowane Dovumatua and Iliesa Namosimalua while the 4 by 400 metre relay team includes Jone Wainiqolo, Isireli Naikelekele-vesi, Niko Verekauta and Iliesa Namosimalua.
Verekauta is the lone Fiji athlete to win 4 gold medals at the Pacific Games.
The womens 4 by 100 and 4 by 400 metre relay came second in the finals to PNG.
Defending champion, New Caledonia finished 1st with 90 gold, 69 silver and 67 bronze while Tahiti came in second with 44 gold, 43 silver and 31 bronze.
Host Samoa finished 3rd with 44 gold, 33 silver and 50 bronze.
