$135,000 has been collected so far in the Legend FM, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang, Sargam and fijivillage.com Flood Appeal to Get the Children Back to School.
Appeal Coordinator and Navtarang Programmes Director Satya Nand said the total amount is expected to increase again but steps are now being taken to ensure that the assistance of the affected children starts through Save the Children Fiji.
Nand said affected children should now ensure that they are registered by their head Teacher or Principal that they need to be assisted in the new school year.
The $135,000 cheque will be handed over to Save the Children Fiji tomorrow while the additional funds still being deposited into the Appeal Bank Account will be handed to the fund later.
