Police have arrested and charged a 13 year old boy of Nadi for allegedly attempting to rape a 3 year old girl.
Assistant spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed the alleged incident took place early this week when the boy allegedly lured the girl and attempted to rape her.
The victim and the boy are neighbours.
The 3 year old girl sustained injuries during the attack and was treated and sent home.
Police are calling on parents to closely monitor their children and not to leave them unsupervised.
