A 12 year old boy has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly throwing a kitchen knife at a 10 year old boy in Labasa last Friday.
The boy will appear in court tomorrow as magistrate court proceedings could not go ahead today due to the unavailability of a magistrate.
Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atuanisa Sokomuri said that the alleged incident took place when the two were playing.
It is alleged that the 12 year old threw a kitchen knife which struck the victim's stomach.
The victim is admitted at the Labasa hospital in a critical condition.
