The 11th Attorney General's conference was this morning opened by the President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau at the Warwick Fiji.
Addressing members of the Judiciary, Permanent Secretaries, the Chief Justice Anthony Gates and Solicitor General Christopher Pryde, Nailatikau said the theme for the two day conference " Developing the Law: Challenges and Opportunities" is appropriate for Fiji.
The President also stressed that with the internet being so accessible, the threat of internet crimes is very much present adding laws need to be put in place to prevent these while lawyers need to ensure they help in reducing these crimes.
The conference ends tomorrow.
