There is a total of 114 typhoid cases in the country.

This is an increase of two cases from last weeks total of 112.

The Health Ministry confirmed that at least 100 cases have   recovered.

Deputy Secretary for Public Health Doctor Joe Koroivueta assures that the Health Ministry is stabilizing infected areas mainly in the Jittu Estate and villages in Naitasiri.
 
He added that the small increase is a testimony that their Public Health teams control of Preventative efforts in the country is working as they are interrupting transmissions.

The Health Ministry is also looking into water and sanitation not only in infected areas but throughout the country.

Health Ministry advises the public to continue with safety measures.
