11 men charged in relation to the alleged assassination plot against the Interim Prime Minister and others have been remanded in custody as their bail hearing will now continue tomorrow.

This afternoon, High Court Judge Justice Daniel Gounder heard submissions on the bail application from lawyers representing eight of the accused behind closed doors and barred the media from listening in on the submissions.

Following that, the decision was taken to Suva Magistrate John Semisi, who earlier denied bail to the 11 accused. Magistrate Semisi, had also indicated that the High Court's decision on bail for the eight would also determine the bail for the other three accused persons. He has adjourned the case till 2:30pm tomorrow to make a final ruling on the bail application.

Naitasiri high chief, Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, former senior military officer, Colonel Jone Baledrokadroka, Metuisela Mua, Peceli Rinakama and former CRW soldiers, Fihoko Gadekibau, Barbodoes Mils, Kamenieli Vosavere, Eparama Waqatakirewa Isireli Cakau, and Siva-niolo Naulaga are charged with inciting mutiny and conspiracy to murder.
