The 11 men charged in relation to the alleged assassination plot against the interim Prime Minister and others have been further remanded in custody as High Court Judge Justice Daniel Gounder deliberates on the bail application.

In court this afternoon, defense lawyers representing 8 of the 11 accused made submission on the bail application again, disputing the contents of the affidavits from Senior Military Officer Colonel Samuela Saumatua and Police Director Crime Tevita Lesu.

The lawyers maintain that the two documents are speculative and cannot form the basis to deny bail.

Justice Gounder has also asked the State lawyers to provide him with the bail conditions which were imposed on Ratu Inoke Takiveikata and others who have faced charged earlier to make a final decision on their bail.

The case is adjourned till mid day November 30th.
