The Air Pacific Fiji 10s tournament will be an annual event from this year.
This is the first time that such a big 10s tournament is organized in Fiji by the Australian Rugby Legend Mark Ella.
For this year's tournament, the invitation was only sent to the Australian teams while organizers are now working on getting teams from New Zealand and Japan for next year's tournament.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Mark Ella said the Fiji 10s tournament will open door for more players wanting to represent the National Rugby Side.
The Air Pacific Fiji 10's rugby tournament will start today at Nadi's Prince Charles Park with the finals on Friday.
24 teams will be taking part in the week long tournament with prize money of $25,000 at stake.
