About 106 people are taking shelter at the evacuation centers in Navua area.
DISMAC's Viliame Tuimanu said people should not get complacent as they expect water levels to rise again when the high tide comes in at 5:30 this morning as heavy rain continues in the highlands.
Tuimanu said the similar situation can be expected for those living along the Rewa river and along the Rewa delta.
National Fire Authorities Sub-Officer Suva Epeli Roko said they are on full alert as they expect more flooding when the high tide comes in.
