The generosity of people around the country was evident with the amount raised for the Get The Children Back To School Appeal today.
The appeal has raised so far $105,000 with the amount expected to rise as donations are still pouring in this afternoon.
The appeal organized by Communications Fiji Limited Radio Station, Legend FM, its sister stations and our website fijivillage.com had teams in various locations in Nadi, Ba, Lautoka, Sigatoka, Labasa, Savusavu and Suva.
The amount raised will be handed over to Save the Children Fiji who will then assist children in the flood affected areas, to get back to school on Tuesday.
Organizer and Navtarang Programs Director, Satya Nand said the effort has been a tremendous one with people contributing what they could, where they could.
