$100,000 is expected to be injected in Savusavu in one day following the visit of cruise liner Pacific Daw with over 2000 passengers on board to the hidden Paradise yesterday.
Acting Tourism Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaium said the injection was a welcome one especially since the Government is trying to ensure the tourism dollar gets down to the grassroots so that small communities and villages actually benefit.
Sayed-Khaiyum added that there were plans in place to further develop Savusavu into a tourism town.
