10 premier teams who will be participating in the 2016 Skipper Cup competition have received $30,000 from its major sponsor.
They are Nadroga, Namosi, Suva, Naitasiri, Tavua, Vatukoula, Tailevu, Northland, Nadi and Lautoka.
Sponsor, CJ Patel also gave them rugby balls and provided them with cartons of Skipper Cup Tuna.
Fiji Rugby Union CEO John O’Connor said this money is to help them to prepare and participate in the tournament.
The 2016 Skipper Cup competition will kick off next Saturday.
