The Waratahs loss to the Stormers has left them with about a 10 percent chance of making the finals.

It was the eighth defeat in 12 games for the tenth-placed Waratahs, who are 13 points off sixth spot and a whopping 16 behind the Australian conference leading Brumbies.

With just four games to play and a maximum of 20 points available, they have only a slight mathematical hope of making the finals.

On Sunday, the Waratahs face the Cheetahs at 3.05am.

Meanwhile, on Friday the Chiefs meet the Bulls at 7.35pm.
