A total of ten drivers had to spend their weekend in police custody after being arrested for drunk driving.

Out of the ten, seven were arrested in the Southern Division, two in the Western and one in the Northern Division.

They all have been charged with Driving under the influence of liquor and will appear in the Magistrates courts today.

Police have warned that anyone found driving under the influence of liquor will have to spend the night in police cell as drunk driving is a major cause of road fatality in Fiji.
