A major manhunt is underway for ten men who robbed a shop owner and his family in Caubati this morning.

The robbery took place at around 3am when the shopowner opened the gate to allow the bread delivery driver to come inside.

As soon as the gate opened, ten masked men armed with cane knives, pinchbars and beer bottles entered the shop and threatened the family members. The robbers also chased the 43yr old owner's wife, who had to jump from the second floor of her house to save herself.

She sustained serious injuries during the attack.

Robbers then robbed the bread delivery driver and stabbed him before fleeing in the bread vehicle which is yet to be found.

The van driver was taken to hospital. This is the same van driver whose wife was killed in Colo-I-Suva when they were delivering bread to some shops last year.

Police are calling for information.
