The National DISMAC Centre revealed that the number of evacuation centres under operation has decreased as people have returned to their homes.
Principal DISMAC officer Patiliai Dobui confirmed that the ten remaining evacuation centres are all located in the west.
Dobui has advised people who were badly affected to continue to drink boiled water.
Officials of the DISMAC office also ensured that when evacuees go to their various homes, their ration packs should last them for at least one month.
Patiliai Dobui explained the food items in the ration packs which have been distributed to the people affected by the flood.
