The Confederation of Public Sector Unions have requested for a 10 percent COLA payment for its members by the end of this year and the Unions also want the Cost of Living payment to be backdated to January this year.
Confederation of Public Sector Union member and Fiji Teachers Union General Secretary, Agni Deo Singh said they had already written to the Public Service Commission a few months ago and are yet to receive any response.
He said the decision to claim 10 percent COLA is based on the fact that cost of living is getting high day by day in Fiji.
PSC will comment later this afternoon.
