Members of the public and other interested parties have only a week remaining to make submissions on the review of the Fiji National Provident Fund Act.

The FNPF has confirmed that the consultation process is still underway and anyone can make submissions on what they believe would strengthen the FNPF and ensure its viability in the future.

The Fiji Employers Federation, the Workers Unions in the country, several NGO's and civil society organizations have been invited by the FNPF to make submissions on the review of the Act.

The FNPF is working with the Sigapore Cooperation Enterprise to undertake phase one of the review process with the over-arching theme of repositioning the FNPF in the next decade.

The submissions close on February 16th and a preliminary report is expected to be submitted later this month.

Meanwhile, Executives of the Reserve Bank of Fiji and the FNPF will also leave for Singapore at the end of the month to study the Central Provident Funds structure and operations as part of the review process.
