The members of Fiji College of General Practitioners will be providing free diabetes check up at their offices as today is World Diabetes Day.
President Doctor Wahid Khan said diabetes in Fiji has become a huge epidemic and affects approximately 1 in every 7 people in Fiji and there is a need to create awareness on this.
Doctor Wahid adds that members of the public especially those above 30 years and those who had never had their diabetes checked can also come for checkups.
Free Diabetes Checks will be provided at Bayly Clinic Suva, Sens Medical Clinic, Makoi, DSM Centre Nadi, Saras Nandan Clinic, Nadi Town, Mid City Medical Centre Lautoka and Dr Pradeep Singh's clinic in Labasa.
