Suicide remains a silent killer in our country as cases of concern continue to emerge this year where people are resorting to end their lives.
In the latest incident, a man in his 30s was found dead at his home in Nasese last week.
Police say the victim was found by his partner.
They say it was a suicide case and they will not be revealing any more details due to the nature of his death.
Statistics revealed in a Lifeline Fiji event at the end of last year show that a Fijian citizen attempts to take their own life every 36 hours and this highlights the magnitude of the challenge we face.
The youngest victim of suicide in Fiji was a 7 year old child.
