Fiji has officially begun its campaign to get a team in the New South Wales Cup in Australia by 2016.
According to Triple M radio sports in Sydney the Vodafone Fiji Bati will look to follow what Papua New Guinea did last year that got its first team ‘The Hunters’ into the Queensland's Intrust Super Cup competition this year.
Fijivillage has contacted the FNRL on the report but they said that it is too early to comment on the issue.
The Vodafone Fiji Bati has shown in its international matches the quality of players it has with home-grown talents that possess skills and flare.
The move will help Fiji to possibly enter the NRL.
