The Fiji Retailers Association says the festive season shopping this year has improved and with huge discounts expected to be given in the coming weeks, consumers are expected to spend more.
President Himmat Lodhia said this is time of the year when people spend most as they receive other benefits from their employers apart from the salary.
Lodhia added they expect business to improve even more in the coming weeks as visitors choose this time of the year to spend their holidays in Fiji.
