The Australian Swimming team had an incredible morning at the Paris Olympics as they won two gold medals within nine minutes.
Cameron McEvoy won gold in the Men’s 50-metre freestyle and Kaylee McKeown won gold in the Women’s 200-m backstroke.
McEvoy is the first Australian to win a medal in that event, while McKeown made history by winning gold in both the 100-metre and 200-metre backstroke – which she also did at Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021.
