The 31-year-old man, who is alleged to have caused the death of a woman in Raiwaqa earlier this week, will appear in a special court sitting in the Suva Magistrates Court today.
Police say the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions sanctioned the murder charges against the 31-year-old man.
They say the accused remains in custody at the Raiwaqa Police Station.
